Since it was founded in 1901, Harper has been designed to meet the growing demands on our planet and its resources – from our 494-hectare Future Farm to our new £8million Veterinary Education Centre!

In our laboratories we have everything from molecular diagnostic facilities to food processing suites, so you’ll be well equipped to experiment. Our innovation hub is home to crop-spraying drones, life-saving technology – we have even run a Hands Free Farm, sowing, tending and harvesting crops autonomously. We don’t just dream up new ideas and innovations here – we build them.

Our research also brings together staff and students to tackle the biggest problems our world faces. You don’t just learn about industry here, you’re part of it.

Our degrees are moulded to support their industries – but it’s important they also support you too, and your future career. Our postgraduate routes include PgC, PgD, MSc, MEng, MProf and MRes qualifications, so there’s plenty to choose from at varying levels.

We offer both full and part-time routes to suit your needs and commitments and deliver ‘block-based study’, which allows our learning to be more immersive whilst giving you defined free-time in-between modules. The majority of our courses are taught face-to-face with additional study being supported by the ‘Learning Hub’ – our interactive virtual learning environment which has plenty of help and guides.
