With the next generation of games consoles upon us, the demands for a `Hollywood’ quality soundtrack to match games’ increasingly impressive visuals have never been greater. This course allows sound designers or composers to explore the issues and opportunities that interactivity presents.
Working alongside tutors with close links to, and professional experience of, the games industry you will have the opportunity to develop specific skills in games audio before working with colleagues across the postgraduate scheme to develop a professional portfolio.
In addition to the University entry requirements, you will require either a first degree in a related subject with evidence of a substantial technological component, or in a technological subject with evidence of creative ability, or a relevant professional qualification with supporting evidence of appropriate work through a professional portfolio.
