Postgraduate Studentships - Search for funding opportunities.
Designed to produce skilled and effective physical education teachers, this PGCE course provides you with an extensive knowledge and understanding of your subject and curriculum areas. The course includes both masters and professional level accreditation and encourages imaginative and creative approaches to teaching and learning.
You will develop your ability to deliver the National Curriculum (QCA 2007) and Examination Physical Education to pupils in the 11-18 age range. Successful completion will lead to the recommendation for Qualified Teacher Status.
RESIDENTIALS
At the start of the year you can go on a one-week group study residential. This will be a chance to meet new friends and take part in a number of challenges to develop your problem solving and team working skills. Activities can include rock climbing, gorge scrambling, mountaineering, walking, canoeing and kayaking.
