Warwick Business School – PhD Programme

Our PhD courses will enable you to experience independent thinking in a world-class interdisciplinary environment allowing you to develop and deepen your chosen area of research. We value our doctoral researchers and aim to attract students from across the globe who are independent thinkers, restless to learn more and challenge themselves.

We offer two programmes:

• Business & Management

Our new fully-funded 2+3 year MRes/PhD Business & Management programme will give you the opportunity to make your mark on the business landscape, by having the freedom to research a host of disciplines that shape the business world. We value our doctoral researchers and aim to attract students from across the globe who are independent thinkers, restless to learn more and challenge themselves. We particularly welcome applicants whose ambition is a career in academia.

• Finance & Economics

Jointly run with the Department of Economics, we aim to establish our MRes programme as one of the leading programmes in Europe, supporting you to pursue a future career in top academic positions, international organisations and central banks. This programme will provide you with a thorough understanding of state of the art research techniques and in-depth appreciation of principal areas of interest for researchers in finance and economics.

Supervision

Throughout the PhD element of your programme you will be advised by one or two supervisors with appropriate research expertise and interests. Your supervisors will be nominated when you reach the end of the MRes element of your programme.

Length of programme

Our MRes/PhD Business & Management programme is a 2+3 year programme (5 years in total)

Our MRes/PhD Finance & Economics programme is a 2+4 year programme (6 years in total)
