Why Harper Adams?
Our students see theory in action, are taught literally in the field, carry out experiments, conduct field trials, and then analyse their own samples in our ever-expanding laboratory complex, within a vibrant research and teaching environment – and all without leaving the campus.
Set on a 494-hectare farm, our Harper campus is home to the cutting-edge; such as our Agricultural Engineering Innovation Centre, where the future of farming is being pioneered with agricultural robots; the Elizabeth Creak Science Laboratories and the largest indoor Soil Hall in Europe – to name but a few. All our students have access to this technology and we wholeheartedly encourage exploration and research throughout your degree.
Speaking of research, Harper Adams is a recognised centre of research excellence with the 2021 Government Research Excellence Framework rating 60 per cent of the university’s research as “world leading” or “internationally excellent” – an almost ten per cent increase since our previous submission.
