This programme benefits from a blended learning approach and requires successful completion of eight modules (each of 15 credits), studied two per term, plus the Strategic Supply Chain project (60 credits).
Year 1
Term 1 (Sept to Dec)
A week of on-campus learning in Durham will include induction to the programme and initial teaching of two core modules, followed by 8 weeks of online learning.

The next set of core modules follow a similar pattern with 4 days of on-campus teaching supported by 8 weeks of online learning. Note that one module will be taught at Durham and one at the University of Mannheim, to include field visits.

Term 1 (Sept to Dec)
In year 2, you’ll choose two elective modules from those listed. Three are offered in a blended format, with teaching on-campus in Durham followed by 8 weeks of online learning. One module is offered in Mannheim with all teaching delivered on-campus over a full week.

Term 2
In year 2, you’ll choose two elective modules which will be taught in the blended model: one week on-campus and the remaining module taught online. Modules led by Durham will have the on-campus week at Durham. One elective is offered by the University of Mannheim and is taught over a full week, with students attending the University for block teaching and the remainder of the module will involve independent study.
You will then progress onto the Strategic Supply Chain Project where you will conduct individual research on an issue with the support of a supervisor.
Terms 2 and 3 (Jan to June)
In Term 2 of year 2, you will visit Durham to participate in a Supply Chain Simulation, a Supply Chain Leadership Talk Series and start preparations for your Strategic Supply Chain Project.
