The Practice Teacher programme aims to prepare and develop practitioners who will be able to facilitate, supervise and assess students transferring knowledge and competence to a new context of practice. In addition to this, the course will provide the opportunity for you to critically appraise and evaluate practice teaching from operational and strategic perspectives.
The course is designed to encompass key themes including establishing effective working relationships, creating and maintaining a learning environment, facilitating learning and assessment and evaluating learning by utilising evidence-based practice and leadership strategies within the context of contemporary practice.
A first degree (2:2 class or above) or equivalent, in a relevant subject (i.e. health related or social science) from an approved institution of higher education. If you do not meet the criteria you are advised to contact the course leader for advice.
