A UK 2:1 honours degree with a mark of at least 65 per cent or its international equivalent in theology/religious studies or in a relevant field within humanities and social sciences.

This programme is designed to prepare you for PhD work in the field or for careers with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) or in academic publishing, think tanks, religious leadership, or national and international civil services.
You will receive a strong grounding in the academic study of Islam and Christian-Muslim relations, and an appreciation of the scriptural, philosophical, theological, and ethical debates between Christians and Muslims in different times and places.
You may choose optional coursework in Literary Classics of the Islamic World; Jesus in Christian-Muslim Relations; Gender and Ethics in Islam; or Political Islam.
You will also have the option of courses in Christian theology and history, or courses offered by Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies.
