The tourism and hospitality industry has undergone growth in both private enterprise and international public sector management. The growing size and dominance of hospitality and tourism as a major employer around the world means that companies and organisations are continually seeking individuals with the knowledge and capabilities of managing various aspects throughout dynamic and progressive industry. Therefore, the MSc in International Hospitality and Tourism Management has been designed to meet such challenges and provide a curriculum to enhance the knowledge and skills of its students and ensure that they are able to succeed as hospitality and tourism managers.
This is a vocational, personal and intellectually stimulating postgraduate course which will enhance your knowledge and skills of hospitality and tourism management within a global context. A range of professional, managerial and transferrable skills will be developed on the course, alongside an extensive knowledge of management disciplines applicable to the hospitality and tourism industry.
Students require a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a subject related to tourism, business or service sector management. It would normally be expected that this degree be awarded at the level of lower second class or above. Other graduates who can demonstrate a commitment to the study of tourism management or who have significant industrial background will also be considered for entry.
