MSc International Festivals and Event Management provides a high quality vocational, personal and intellectually challenging education for those wishing to enhance their knowledge skills in festival and event management in a global setting. Emphasis throughout International Festivals and Event Management is therefore placed on developing a range of professional, managerial and transferable skills that are aligned with an extensive knowledge of management disciplines applicable to tourism today.
Students require a good honours degree (or equivalent) in a subject related to tourism, business or service sector management. It would normally be expected that this degree be awarded at the level of lower second class or above. Other graduates who can demonstrate a commitment to the study of festivals or event management or who have significant experience in the service sector industry will also be considered for entry.
