The MA International Education is an exciting and newly developed distance-learning programme, suitable for educators from a variety of settings around the world, including primary and secondary schools, vocational colleges, universities, privately-owned education providers and the non-profit sector. It is specifically designed for practitioners and leaders who are wanting to develop their practice or seeking an opportunity to further their career.
The programme focuses on different aspects of education from an international perspective, allowing students to explore in depth their own context and specialist areas, as well as how they can benefit from adopting a global vision.
Whilst the course offers a great deal of flexibility as it is 100% online, the learning has been designed to be interactive throughout, allowing students to learn from peers from other contexts and be supported by a team of expert specialists. This course is specifically aimed at working practitioners and thus can be completed alongside a full-time job. Students typically spend around 10 hours a week outside of their working hours to complete the learning activities set. In addition to facilitating high-quality professional development, the MA International Education is also a great way to prepare students for further doctoral studies.
You will need to have obtained or be predicted to obtain, normally an undergraduate honours degree in a relevant subject (or equivalent).
Students are expected to hold a professional role (paid or voluntary) within an educational setting for the duration of the course, typically 10 hours a week.
