This wholly online LLM International Business Law programme has been designed for graduates from diverse academic backgrounds as well as those possessing working experience in the business or financial services sector to provide a solid exposure to the operation of the legal environment governing commercial operations and decision-making.

The LLM is specifically designed for graduates from diverse disciplines as well as legal professionals who already have some practical commercial and business experience and who want to enhance their knowledge and skills to assist them in advancing their career, whether that is a career change or assuming a more senior-level role in a business, organization, or commercial enterprise.  The programme offers an opportunity to gain an extensive understanding of the Common Law legal system, with specific focus on its commercial environment. Students will have a chance to tailor their learning journey by choosing two elective modules from Corporate Governance, Aspects of Banking, Intellectual Property Law, International Sale of Goods and International Financial Crime. To achieve your full LLM, are required to complete a dissertation project on a topic within the international business law.

To achieve a full Master of Laws (LLM), you will be required to complete 180 credits. This programme is also available as a postgraduate diploma (PG Dip) which amounts to 120 credits, a postgraduate certificate (PG Cert) which amounts to 60 credits and a postgraduate award (PG Award) amounting to 30 credits.

Applicants should possess:

  • Preferably a 2:2 class degree in a relevant subject, equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree; or
  • Professional work experience in a related field and/or other prior qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

All applicants must provide evidence that they have an English language ability equivalent to an IELTS (academic) score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all components).

If you don’t have an IELTS or equivalent certificate, you can take our free online English test to assess your proficiency. You don’t need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree in, any of these countries.

Full tuition fee – £16,868 (2024/2025 academic year)

Programme Funding

20% UK Scholarship available on the January 2025 intake of all master's awards, for students residing in the United Kingdom.
