This blended learning programme is an excellent opportunity for any nurse new to general practice. The pathway encourages the practice nurse to develop basic skills and enables each student to enhance their development with pertinent modules choices such as minor illness and contraception. The core module of this programme (General Practice Nursing) links to the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP, 2012) General Practice Nurse Competencies.
