Course Description

At Queen Mary, University London, we pride ourselves on our interconnectedness of theory and practice in film. Our MA programme offers you the opportunity to choose a specific pathway and combine it with elements of theory and practice. The three pathways we offer are MA Film (Theory), MA Film (Documentary Practice) and MA Film (Directing Fiction).

Entry Requirements

A 2:1 or above at undergraduate level in Film or a relevant subject such as English, History, Media or Modern Languages.

Other routes

Candidates who do not currently meet the set entry requirements may also have the option to study the Graduate Diploma in Humanities and Social Sciences. Meeting the required grades on completion of this programme will provide a pathway to study MA Film.
