Course Description

Studying a Master’s degree in Childhood Studies will give you the knowledge and skills to support children and their families in a range of environments.

You will develop a keen understanding of issues related to child development in contemporary society and how policy and services for children and families are planned and provided.

Throughout your studies, you will refine critical research and analytical skills valued by employers and develop professional reflective practice techniques.

Entry Requirements

  • A UK 2.2 (or above) degree in a related discipline (for example childhood studies, education, psychology, sociology, mental health), or its equivalent.
  • Applications will be considered if you have significant relevant work experience.
  • You will be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (previously known as a Criminal Records Bureau, or CRB, Check).
  • You may also be asked to attend an interview
