Course Description

Develop your skills, knowledge, and understanding of computing and international business whilst learning from researchers, industry experts, and your fellow students from all over the world, ensuring you have the skills required to work in computing while having a good understanding of the global business world.

This course is highly flexible, offering a practical mix of technical computing modules, such as user experience, big data analysis, and technology innovation management, along with business modules, such as international business strategy and global marketing, allowing you to shape your study to fit your chosen path.

This flexible approach ensures that students with a background in computing are able to develop their skills and understanding of both computing and international business.

Our regular seminars and guest speakers allow you to learn from those working within the industry, increasing your understanding of real life situations you could face in your career.

You will also have access to a range of conventional and specialised equipment and software, such as Windows Azure, Teradata, and Tableau, helping to further develop your skills and understanding.

Under the guidance of our academic staff, you will undertake a major software development project. Recent projects examples have looked at development of legal argumentation visualisation tools and the analysis and weaknesses of Bitcoin blockchain keys.

Entry Requirements

You should have, or expect to have, a degree in Computing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related title, with a grade equivalent to at least a Class 2.2 Honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent qualifications.
