Course Description

The MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages [TESOL] will enable you to develop a strong foundation of knowledge about teaching English, as well as skills for classroom practice. You will be introduced to important theories about language teaching and learning, and links between theory and practice are continually emphasised throughout the course.

This postgraduate course provides a unique opportunity for students to enter the field of TESOL without having had prior teaching experience. There are five modules in total, which together enable you to experience varied and innovative perspectives of TESOL. You will learn about methods and approaches to teaching, and also focus on practical techniques as well as develop reflective and observational skills
