Focused on enhancing the technical and management skills required of professionals in civil engineering and construction-related industries, this course explores the sustainability, management and environmental impact of structural engineering and the applied technical themes within the field.
Applying engineering principles in structural and building construction, you’ll gain an understanding of, and competence in, the design, management and construction of structures. Developing an advanced approach to research methods, you’ll practice your knowledge on the continually changing issues in the management of civil engineering projects and specialist technical aspects of industry.

Although this course does not offer a formal placement, all our courses are vocationally focused and benefit from strong links with industry. Graduates have gone on to work for a wide range of national and international organisations in senior positions in both the consulting and contracting fields. Alternatively, some graduates have chosen to continue within the education sector and embarked on PhD studies.
