Study Details: MSc 1 year full-time, 2 years part-time
Drawing on academic and industry expertise from around the world, and designed to meet the sports events management requirements of organisations that bid for and deliver sporting fixtures of all sizes (from the Olympic Games to the Leeds Half Marathon).You will address the challenges facing sports events managers, including the increasing pressure to meet the demands of global governing bodies, how to manage a volunteer workforce, secure appropriate sponsorship packages, reduce risks and ensure the health, safety and security of every stakeholder.By developing the specialist knowledge and skills required, you will enhance your expertise to strategically plan and manage sporting events to the satisfaction of local and international stakeholders.For International Students who want to improve their English and academic skills we offer a combined masters course with the MSc Sports Events Management. If you have an IELTS score of 5.0 or 5.5 you can study for two semesters before starting your postgraduate degree. As you will be given one unconditional offer you will not normally need to renew your visa.
