Course Description

Our MSc in Sport Management course brings together teaching, research, and consultancy to equip you with the knowledge and practical skills to lead and manage global sport projects and pursue a career in the sport management industry.

This course will allow you to gain a critical understanding of essential current topics including sport ecology, sales, and sports law. The course is supported by specialised facilities and resources which you will have access to, including virtual reality technologies. You will have the opportunity to engage with sport management professionals at local organisations such as Nottingham Forest Football Club, Nottingham Wildcats Basketball Club, and the National Ice Centre. The course employs a variety of teaching, learning and assessment methods, which ensures that you can develop comprehensive practice and an extensive portfolio along with many essential transferable skills.

The course is delivered by friendly and approachable student-centred staff who facilitate a supportive, interactive, and nurturing learning environment that will help you excel and achieve your academic goals.

Entry Requirements

What are we looking for?

  • Honours degree (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) in a sport or management related subject.
  • Applicants with a 2.2 honours degree will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Applicants with relevant employment experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.

NTU may admit a student with advanced standing beyond the beginning of a course through an assessment of that student's prior learning, whether it is certificated or uncertificated. Our Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer Policy outlines the process and options available to these prospective students, such as recognising experiential learning or transferring to a similar course at another institution, otherwise known as credit transfer.
