Designed for registered nurses from all specialties, this course offers you a supportive, international learning environment where you will learn alongside nurses at various stages of their careers.
Learning with nurses from other countries and other specialties means you will develop your awareness of different cultural approaches and ways of working. In addition, there will be some opportunities for workplace experience in an NHS, research, or educational setting, giving you first-hand insights into how healthcare is provided in the UK.
You will gain an excellent grounding in the UK’s four Pillars of Practice:
clinical practice
facilitation of learning
leadership and evidence
research and development
You are encouraged to consider the challenges and opportunities associated with nursing practice. There will be many opportunities to discuss and debate contemporary issues and the evidence base with fellow nurses, lecturers, other student groups, and topic experts during lectures, tutorials, and other timetabled sessions.
You will have the option of completing a two week workplace experience. This can be done in an environment of your choice, including, health care, social care, university (such as clinical skills or sports institute), or in a research setting.
You’ll need to have a ordinary Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and be a registered nurse. For information about equivalent qualifications for entry, please email the course contact.
