MA 12 months full-time, currently up to 63 months part-time

Course Description

Gain an in-depth understanding of the way young children and young adults think and behave on our flexible and highly regarded MA Education (Early Years) master’s course.

This qualification is offered on a full-time and part-time basis and is designed to meet the needs of busy professionals and to reflect your own interests. You will develop as a leader, not just as a teacher.

Focus on cutting-edge research in child development and theories of professional ethics and leadership, and gain an in-depth understanding of the way young children think and behave.

Our teaching is interactive, experiential and innovative. We utilise a wide variety of technologies to enhance your learning, including use of presentation tools, interactive whiteboards, mixed media, social media and mobile technologies in our teaching, and screen capture in assessment.

Entry Requirements

Normally a good undergraduate honours degree (2:1 or above), or equivalent from a university outside the UK, and a professional background in education/training – ideally at least two years’ experience of teaching/training. In exceptional cases, a candidate with a slightly lower degree qualification may be allowed to present additional teaching experience to support their application. If you wish to take a specialist pathway, you may also need to demonstrate additional subject knowledge and qualifications.
