The MSc Diabetes Care and Management is multidisciplinary, bringing together key insights from multiple fields. During this masters degree you will learn about best practices in health management and diabetes from a broad range of perspectives.

Keeping the programme career-focused, our diabetes care and management masters students undertake a number of clinical attachments at local hospitals. This opportunity helps them solidify their skills and make a positive impact on patients in a real-world setting. The final Project/Dissertation Diabetes module gives students the opportunity to obtain an enhanced understanding of an area of diabetes or to undertake a clinical audit in collaboration with local diabetes consultants. Graduate prospects

Our graduates go on to do good work in general practice, hospitals and clinics. Some choose to study for the UK General Medical Council GMC exams (PLAB 1 and 2) and go on to work in the NHS.

Entry Requirements

Minimum academic requirement UK honours degree 2:2 (or equivalent). Applicants will normally be registered healthcare professionals. English language Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) with no element below 5.5. CPD Certificate It is possible to undertake Diabetes Care: A Multi Professional Approach as a standalone CPD certificate and gain credits towards a future Masters level degree. If you do not have the typical academic entry qualifications, but can demonstrate relevant work experience and/or credits from recognised professional bodies, you may be eligible to enter this course via the University’s Recognition of Prior Learning scheme.
